This
workshop teaches project management theory based on industry standards
using real projects in the client’s environment. It builds
on the client’s current state and the desired outcomes, and
it takes into account the fact that a project exists in an environment
or organization.
We cover the basic stages of a project: initiating, scoping, planning,
executing, and closing. At each stage, we capture what we have learned.
We emphasize change, flexibility and effective communication.
Format
The workshop uses case studies, skill-building exercises, and class
discussion of specific projects. At the end of each module we use
we review what we have learned and compile a list of project needs.
At the end of the workshop, a facilitated discussion produces a
project lifecycle, project management action plan, or a project
improvement plan.
We also offer one- and two-day versions of this workshop.
