Leadership ABC's Workshop

Leadership is about moving towards something you want, and creating something that didn’t exist before.    There is no one magic formula that applies to all.  Each person’s leadership style is as unique and as individual as they are.  This workshop creates the results you want in a simple and effective structure that works for you.

The workshop presents models and then quickly using tools, assessments, exercises and interactions with real world examples that allow for practicing of skills.   The overarching goal is to create a relationship between each student and the instructor that will deepen learning, thereby increasing the likelihood that lessons learned will not only be understood, but will retained and successfully applied back at the actual place of work.  

Day One = Leadership

Day Two = Teams

Day Three = Communication

Sample Objectives:          

Leadership

  • Define what leadership is and the current leadership at the company

  • Learn and apply how leadership impacts your job

  • Learn a tool that can be used to identify culture

  • Analysis and identification of the culture and the impact on Teams, Tasks, Projects and Leadership

  • Discover 12 ways leadership is demonstrated  

  • Develop active leaders and committed followers

  • Explore the differences between Leadership and      Management and when each is needed

  • Practice, identify and try new skills

Teams

  • Learn the characteristics of high performing teams         

  • Learn ways to become a high performing teams

  • Clarify individual strengths and roles on a team

  • Encourage innovation on a team

  • Identify the participant’s strengths and gaps

  • Assign relevant action items to practice the identified new skill or behavior

Communication

  • Improve giving and receiving feedback

  • Video taping for Immediate and recorded feedback on participant’s presentation style

  • Learn and create a web of relationships

  • Create a real-life currencies exchange

  • Identify politics in a project and possible actions

  • Learn and practice a model for having difficult conversations

  • Identify the participant’s communication strengths and gaps identify

  • Create for each participant an ongoing action plan

Audience:

Manager, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Directors

Maximum 14 per workshop

Format:

1 day to 3 day workshop.

With a minimum of 1 week between each day.

Each participant is interviewed before the start of the workshop, to discover their leadership challenges and successes.

Each participant will have the opportunity to be coached in-between each workshop day.

Homework relevant to the workshop and their current job is assigned between each classroom day.

A follow-up to lock in the learning is scheduled at 30, 60 and 90 days post the last classroom.
